Consideration:

There are three parameter needs to consider according to project costing rule. This rule is known as PM triangle.

Project Management Triangle

Project triangle is an equal arm triangle and quality is its area. That means change in any arm affect the other two and as well as the area. So, if we consider cost is in left hand side then it depends on 1. Time of the project involved and 2. Scope of the project. Now if we want get –

1. More quality = will increase the cost (will increase the time also)
2. More scope = will increase the cost (will increase the time also)
3. More time = will increase the cost (will increase the scope also)

Now, what is the quality, scope and time in terms of software development?

1. Quality is the measure of-
   1. What technology used and its scope?
   2. Desktop or web based?
   3. Redundancy test passed?
   4. Open ended?
   5. Optimization done?
   6. Load test done?
   7. All the features defined in scope covered correctly?
   8. Tested with data?
   9. Tested without data?
   10. Data backup and restore system?
   11. Easy maintenance system etc.
2. Scope is measure of are of the software-
   1. What are the modules?
   2. How vast are the software coverage area?
   3. How easy to use?
   4. How much automation to be covered?
   5. Use case versatility
   6. Technology used?
   7. How easy to customise?
   8. Software architecture? and
   9. Software life cycle defined?
3. Time is the measure of man month used to develop software. Time is calculated by means of
   -
   1. Experience of the manpower involved and
   2. Their cost including salary, wages and other expenditure.

At last I started my blog July 2, 2007

I am very happy to publish my first weblog. This is about 6 years I was thinking to have my own weblog. Sometimes I thought it is a essential thing. Sometimes thought it is kind of show off only. But I realize nothing happened without any show off. You can not get anything without show off in this world. On the other hand Weblog has other two important benefits for people who maintain it.

1. This is a very simple way to share feelings and thought among friends/people.
